Everest base camp trek - an oral history 

The account of one hiker and his experience hiking the Everest Base Camp trek without a porter or guide. This oral history provides a look into each village, and the details of the trek. It's a journey from Salt Lake City, to Kathmandu, and finally ending at the footstep of Mount Everest observation point Kala Patthar, 18,500 feet above ground.
